Job Responsibilities
As a product manager you will shepherd products in the Sitecore portfolio through the entire product life cycle, including:
- Expanding a product concept from initial inspiration to a clearly defined feature set.
- Prototyping to flush out ideas, either on paper or using appropriate software tools.
- Gathering requirements for initial and subsequent releases.
- Specifying functionality and describing business use cases.
- Building a shared vision of the product for developers and other stakeholders.
- Working closely with developers to ensure appropriate decisions throughout implementation.
- Defining and sharing short and long term product plans and roadmaps.
Sitecore leverages agile development strategies with a strong focus on effective communication. Prior experience with agile methodologies is an advantage.
Expectations
Product management is a central and critical role in Sitecore and requires working with product stakeholders and development personnel globally. We expect a highly dedicated, intelligent, articulate and enthusiastic person.
Prior Experience
You have a strong technical, project management, and/or marketing background with experience working at various levels within an organization, from individual contributor to manager with multiple direct reports.
You have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
Prior experience and/or expertise with CMS, web analytics, marketing automation, social computing, e-commerce solutions, and related technologies would be an advantage, please highlight such experience on your application.
Organizational Placement
You will work out of our Copenhagen headquarters location and will report to the VP of Product Management, Kerry Bellerose (located in the same office).
You will be working closely with colleagues in Sitecore's product management, product marketing, and development organizations in both face-to-face and online communication. Business travel for durations of about one week at a time will be required about 4 to 5 times a year on average.
Work Hours
Sitecore is a global company with people located around the world in every time zone and it is expected you will be flexible in regularly making yourself available for meetings at different times.
