Sitecore Recognizes Stokke as International Sitecore Site of the Year
Global Manufacturer of Premium Children’s Products Builds Global Retail Site in 28 Languages With Sitecore’s CMS
San Francisco and Copenhagen, April 2, 2009 – Sitecore, the leading provider of .NET Web Content Management System (CMS) software, today announced that Stokke has been named the International Sitecore Site of the Year. Stokke, a global manufacturer of premium children’s products, has deployed Sitecore’s Web CMS solution to deliver compelling content in 28 languages, while maximizing Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and increasing overall site traffic.
The Sitecore Site of the Year International winner and seven category winners were selected based upon their use of Sitecore’s CMS to deliver more effective business processes and advance their online strategies. The Sitecore judges considered creativity, integration with rich data sources and applications, ability to educate, inform and motivate to action, and the overall user experience.
Stokke worked with Sitecore partner, Portalia, to build a website with Sitecore’s technology that showcases Stokke’s products and offers compelling content that is keeping visitors on the site longer. Utilizing Sitecore’s CMS along with industry-leading translation software from Clay Tablet, Stokke can better support their global retailers with timely updated content in 28 different languages.
“We soon realized that Sitecore could provide us all the functionality we were searching for,” says Janne Strømmen, marketing manager, Stokke. “Sitecore’s CMS allows us to manage a lot of different countries and languages with ease, and we’re creating a community among our site visitors. As an international premium brand, we are now able to consistently brand our products in a professional way worldwide. With Sitecore, our site looks like there are a lot more people working on it than there actually are!”
“We were thoroughly impressed with how Stokke has been able to structure their site to scale globally by offering localized content in a number of native languages, while maintaining a strong corporate brand,” said Kim Elsass, Chief Information Officer, Sitecore. “I am proud to recognize and congratulate them, along with the entire list of finalists who have demonstrated excellence in creating successful websites that are solving today’s business challenges.”
