Specialty Toy Company Wins Sitecore’s Site of the Year Denmark

TOP-TOY Uses Web CMS and Online Marketing Software to Strengthen Customer Engagement

San Francisco October 12, 2011 – Sitecore announced today that TOP-TOY’s retail brand website has been named the Denmark Site of the Year for 2011. TOP-TOY Group is one of the largest toy businesses in Northern Europe with two retail chains and a wholesale division. The retail chains are the well-known BR and TOYS “R” US brands, which in total amounts to 290 stores.

The Sitecore Site of the Year winners are selected based on each company’s use of Sitecore’s Web and online marketing solutions to deliver more effective business processes that advance digital strategies. The Sitecore judges considered creativity, integration with applications, overall site visitor experience and the ability to educate, inform and motivate an action.

Working with Sitecore partner, Alpha Solutions, TOP-TOY, implemented Sitecore’s Web platform to launch a new website and online marketing strategy for its retail brand. The implementation included integration to a third-party logistics provider, an order management interface for customer support, integration to an Oracle ERP containing all loyalty information and product details, translation in six languages and content for two major retail brands (BR and TOYS “R” US). The new website targets parents and children and integrates gift finders, gift lists and a new loyalty program.
