Hanson Dodge Creative and Siteworx Highlighted for Innovative Use of Sitecore CMS Solutions

San Francisco, June 3, 2010 – Sitecore, the leading provider of .NET Web Content Management System (CMS) software, today recognized outstanding implementations of Sitecore’s Web CMS solutions, as part of the company’s North American Outstanding Solutions Program.

For Q1 and Q2 2010, the partners recognized for their innovative solutions on the Sitecore CMS platform are Hanson Dodge Creative and Siteworx.  The projects were chosen based on how each firm responded to the customers’ most complex architecture, development and deployment challenges. Each partner submitted a written submission form, architectural diagrams and relevant code.

More details on the projects include:

  • Siteworx was recognized for the implementation of the Sitecore CMS platform for the Heritage Foundation, a nonprofit think tank with more than 660,000 individual donors. Siteworx implemented the Sitecore solution along with the SOLR search platform to facilitate heavily faceted advanced search and the delivery of related, popular, and most recent content throughout the site. In addition, Sitecore’s software was integrated with a legacy blog platform to push content to the SOLR index when a new blog post is published.  The use of SOLR allowed Siteworx to build an index that aggregated content from Sitecore and numerous other external sources.

  • Hanson Dodge Creative was recognized for its work with Thule, a world leader within Sports Utility Transportation. The team created a global Web platform to support the company’s large, complex product line across many languages and countries, while providing a user experience enabling customers to match products to their vehicles.  Sitecore’s built-in multilingual support was critical in the development of the site. Also of note is Hanson Dodge’s integration between Sitecore and Thule’s backend Product Information Management (PIM) system, Stibo System’s STEP Platform. This integration created a direct connection between the PIM system and Sitecore’s Content Editor.
