Communicating a strong brand for a newly founded educational institution

PH Metropol worked with Sitecore partner, 1508 A/S, to build a website that communicates their brand, attracts students, and seamlessly integrates with multiple other technologies.

Challenge

Phmetropol.dk is the communication platform for Metropolitan University College – a newly founded educational institution that is made up of six former educational institutions. As a new institution, PH Metropol needed to build a site that would:

Communicate and facilitate a strong brand presence in the public.
Attract students who want to become teachers, biological analysts, nurses, etc.
Express the competencies of a large organization with leading researchers.
Facilitate the digital promotion of educations, courses and research.

Solution

Working with Sitecore partner 1508 A/S, PH Metropol chose Sitecore as their platform.

According to Christian Jacobsen, 1508 A/S, “Sitecore is the preferred CMS when building large-scale websites for big organizations. The dynamic and intuitive handling of content makes it easy for editors with different backgrounds and experience to upload, edit and handle the website.”

1508 A/S extended the solution by making devices to handle vcards, so that every person in the employee list can be exposed via the vcard format, and likewise with calendar events as .ical. It is implemented as extensions, so an employee's vcard can be obtained by linking to the employee page and add a .vcf extension.

Result

The site recently went live, and PH Metropol has successfully merged six educational institutions into one website. The result is a beautiful site with a strong brand, excellent presentation of courses, and easy-to-navigate content. The site has been seamlessly integrated with additional technologies, including Stepstone Easycruit, Sis, FlickR, WayF, and Active Directory. Moving forward, PH Metropol plans to implement Sitecore’s Online Marketing Suite.
