Quick Links

This municipality has improved their site to encourage more people to go online to serve themselves, while remaining compliant to the interational W3C standards.

Gentofte Kommune wanted to take advantage of Sitecore’s newest product innovations and features after having successfully worked with Sitecore CMS 4.0 for a number of years. When planning to launch a new website, they decided to upgrade their Sitecore CMS solution at the same time.

We were happy with Sitecore CMS and we wanted to continue working in this system in order to further improve our site, the user experience and the visitor/citizen loyalty for our website. By continuing to use Sitecore in our organization, instead of choosing a new CMS, we also wanted to please and motivate our many local editors. We experienced that the new version was highly recognizable yet more flexible with updated features. Furthermore, we were content with the system’s ease of integration of third-party systems.

Solution

Working with Sitecore partner, DIS/PLAY, they extended the Sitecore solution by integrating with third-party systems, including DIVA, “Genvej,” “DriftWeb” and Google Analytics:

  • DIVA is a database that integrates with Sitecore in order to provide contact information to departments and other units in our organization and information such as opening hours. The database content is brought automatically to the website.
  • “Genvej” (Danish for “Shortcut”) is a portal for a large number of digital self service solutions aimed at the citizens of Gentofte Municipality.
  • “DriftWeb” (“Drift” is Danish for “production”) is a web-based reporting system that allows citizens to report errors and disruptions through the websites service "Giv et vink" (Danish for "Give us a hint").
