The New Zealand Historic Places Trust (NZHPT) is New Zealand’s leading national historic heritage agency and guardian of the nation’s significant heritage places. It is charged by Parliament with identifying, recording and caring for the nation’s significant ancestral sites and buildings, and seeking to ensure they survive for appreciation by current and future generations, and fostering that appreciation by recording and sharing their stories.

In doing this, it works with thousands of New Zealanders and many other agencies, nationally and locally. Its collective work on registration, the archaeological authority process, advocacy, education and the conservation and interpretation of the 48 heritage properties that the NZHPT administers ensures our heritage can be valued by a larger number of people, New Zealanders and international visitors alike.

The NZHPT utilises Sitecore to showcase both its corporate and heritage properties websites.
