The Commission de la construction du Québec (CCQ) is an agency that resembles a company specializing in human resources. Its main concern is to play a major social role in the development of the industry. To this end, it offers a wide range of services to the clients it serves with regard to fringe benefits, pensions and insurance, vocational training, manpower management, and application of collective agreements in the construction industry.

The CCQ is responsible for applying the Act respecting labour relations vocational training and manpower management in the construction industry (chapter R-20) and its main clientele is composed of firms and workers in the construction industry and their families-several hundred thousand people. The industry's employers and work force provide the majority of the agency's funding.

Because of the role it plays within the industry, the Commission de la construction du Québec also responds to those who contact it to express interest in one of its mandates or to seek information on the industry's activities.
