The Sitecore Product Suite, Now and Future

SESSION 3: How to be Successful with your DMS Implementation

Presenters: Lars Petersen, Ron Person, and Chris Nash - Sitecore Implementing DMS in a project is much more then developing and configuring Sitecore. It’s about working closer with the customer, understanding their business and using the DMS capabilities to measure and execute towards optimizing their business.

SESSION 4: Building, Connecting and Measuring Communities with Sitecore

Presenter: John Field, Sitecore Social and community initiative are one of the fastest growing trends for Sitecore customers. This session will take you through a tour of many of the recent advancements in social and community solutions within the Sitecore Customer Engagement Platform.

SESSION 5: 7 and ½ Ways Engagement Analytics Will Kick Your Marketing to New Heights

Presenter: Adam Conn, Sitecore Sitecore’s products evolve at a rapid pace, and quite often new features and capabilities are overlooked by many clients. This session will take you through all the cool, compelling features that can be tapped to save time, improve usability and improve business results for editorial users in Sitecore.

SESSION 7: The Many Types of Sitecore Personalization, and When to Use it and How

Presenter: Lars Petersen, Sitecore Personalization is the key to engage visitors on the website, but personalization can be used in many forms, with different techniques and approaches. Learn which types of personalization are supported in Sitecore, when to choose which parts to use, and how to do it.

SESSION 8: Sitecore Roadmap – Where are we Going with the Product

Presenter: Darren Guarnaccia, Sitecore Sitecore continues to innovate at a rapid pace and Sitecore’s roadmap continues to be compelling for Sitecore customers. This session will explain Sitecore future plans for its various products, and explain where Sitecore is going and why.

SESSION 9: Nurture Marketing with Sitecore ECM and Engagement Automation

Presenter: Christopher Nash, Sitecore With Sitecore Email Campaign Manager and Engagement Automation, we offer customers a powerful capability, that can be used for nurture their prospects and customers according to segmented and tracked behavior. Learn how to connect the dots and how you get started with nurture marketing, including setting up your first Engagement plan, which are the triggers and how to build a profile with the right data, which is needed for efficient nurturing.

SESSION 10: App Center and Adaptive Print Studio

Tour of the App Center, Currently Released Apps and Future Apps (30 minutes) Presenter: Peter Laub, Sitecore The Sitecore App Center offers a way for customers to quickly enable and utilize a variety of powerful services to enhance their existing Sitecore project. This session will take attendees through the current solutions offered in the App Center and the benefits customers can gain by using these solutions. Making your Print Solutions Adaptive and Connected (30 minutes) Presenter: John Field, Sitecore Print media is still an important part of the marketing mix. This session will take you through a tour of the new Adaptive Print studio, and help you understand how you can connect the offline world of print to your other digital channels. You’ll learn how other customers are able to bridge the gap between offline and online customer engagement, and how you can bring the best of digital engagement to the print world.

Business Track

Delivering Real-World Business Value

Experience an engaging mix of success stories, case studies and best practice demos to inspire business people of all levels and backgrounds. This track is designed to showcase some of the benefits that real  customers are getting today from the technology, and to give some practical insights into what is possible from Sitecore’s own in-house experts.

SESSION 1: C1000

Presenter: Freek Bijl, eFocus The purpose of this website was to create a smart multiservice platform servicing all C1000 shopping needs. The website had to be innovative, and create a smart shopping experience, characteristic for the C1000 way of customer service, ‘Working Smart’. Specifically, the new platform has to strengthen the C1000 brand name, enhance customer loyalty, and increase turnover both direct (online), and indirect (within the shop itself). In the session we explain the case & learnings.

SESSION 2: Kaufmann- A 360° E-business Solution Built on Sitecore

Presenter: Kasper Holst, webdanmark Kaufmann, a Danish fashion retailer dating back to 1908, needed an e-business solution that could live up to their mission statement of always surpassing the expectations of their customers. They needed a platform that would not only provide them with flexibility of scale and a vast array of marketing tools: the platform should also make it possible for them to manage the websites and e-business solutions of their three sub-brands, Axel, Quint and Quintess. Based on our extensive experience with e-commerce development using Sitecore technology, Kaufmann contacted webdanmark.com, and a 360° e-commerce solution took form. The solution makes it easy for Kaufmann to manage everything from e-commerce to customer loyalty clubs and e-mail marketing. The solution has resulted in more flexibility for the editors, as well as shorter load time and increased sales. Later on, the solution will also be integrated with the POS systems in the physical brand stores. On a more technical note, the use of SOLR technology in combination with Sitecore ensures an optimal search solution.

SESSION 3: Liquid Digital

Presenter: Dietmar Dahmen, Exc.io We will see the evolution of today's digital communication and where we are heading. We will learn about personalisation, transparency and the democratisation of the brand. We will see how the consumer shapes the market and how digital is his/her tool to do so. All very inspiring, informative, motivating and full of cases and best practise.

SESSION 4: 20 Startups per Year- Marketing through Engagement

Presenter: Neville Kuyt and Christopher Marsh, AKQA Digital marketing is evolving from banners, microsites and viral content into applications, games, and stories. AKQA, one of the world’s most respected digital marketing agencies, will share experiences in building major online marketing engagements, repeatedly, with innovation and high levels of quality - and driving bottom-line benefits as a result.

SESSION 5: Oticon- Managing Apps with Sitecore

Presenters: Nikolaj Hjelm Kaplan and Jesper Arvidson, In2Media Oticon, a global hearing aid device manufacturer, came to us for help with improving the quality of the counseling sessions their resellers have with end users. It is becoming harder to differentiate products based solely on performance and features, which is why investing in counseling is a crucial step in the battle to gain customers. The solution needed to run on multiple types of devices like PC/Mac and iPads, had to work offline, and all settings, content and product ranges (varying from country to country and reseller to reseller) had to be maintained and updated via Sitecore. This session will cover how we developed the proposed solution with an extremely high degree of flexibility, all with minimal impact on the way Oticon handles their portfolio of solutions—regardless of channel/device.

SESSION 6: Unfolding a Manifesto for Customer Centricity

Presenter: Michael Harboe, Jabra The Jabra online program builds on the ambition of becoming customer centric; making the customers and partners of Jabra FIRST priority. ‘We strive to be relevant and fulfill the goal of the visitor and add value to each visit.’ Hear how Jabra is utilizing Sitecore to unfold its manifesto and fulfill ambitious business goals across the globe.

SESSION 7: Towards a Sitecore-Supported Content Strategy

Presenter: Serafina Frongia, Sitecore If a CMS has no content, does it make a sound? In this session, you’ll learn best practices and results from using Sitecore’s product suite on effectively planning, creating and distributing content in on- and offline channels. Develop a strategy that supports personalization efforts, increased engagement and measurable business results with persona-driven content that moves your target audience to action, by leveraging the insight of Sitecore analytics and personalization/testing capabilities.

SESSION 8: World Customers Organization- Customs Customization: Building a Sitecore Portal for a Major International Organization

Presenters: Horst Krämer, Digital Communication and Gözde Susuzlu, WCO The session will be a case study on the system of websites run by the World Customs Organization (WCO) which have recently been completely revamped and migrated to a customized Sitecore system. The purpose of the session is to take look at the benefits and challenges of implementing a large portal with Sitecore in a case that has to cater for a global user base comprised of highly specialized experts as well as a general public. Requirements and preferences of a client are significantly different from commercial uses and pure business cases.

SESSION 9: Leveraging SEO to Drive Measureable Customer Engagement

How to create an integrated SEO approach that drives customer engagement across multiple channels, resulting in real and measurable impact on your business growth. Learn about cutting edge SEO measurement: including the shift from traditional analytics to engagement analytics - and its impact on SEO strategy. SESSION 10: Willem II, first Football Club in the Netherlands using Sitecore

Presenters: Alex Otten, CEO Estate Internet Solutions, and Marco Faber, CEO Willem II Named in 1898 after the Dutch king, the Netherlands’ Willem II football (soccer) club enjoys the support of an ardent fan base. When the club decided to redesign its website in 2011, it teamed with digital agency and Sitecore partner Estate Internet to create what today’s football fans are asking for: an interactive online magazine.

Dive into the nuts and bolts of doing more with Sitecore at Symposium 2012. Join the Developer Track to hear tips and tricks directly from product developers and executives to help you maximize your current integrations and take advantage of all that Sitecore’s products have to offer. SESSION 1: Track Keynote

Presenters: Kerry Bellerose and Lars Nielsen, Sitecore Lars and Kerry kick off the Technical Track with a review of the last year, a preview of the some of the coolest products and technologies coming out of the Sitecore labs this year, and a look into what you can expect in the future.

SESSION 2: Let's get Social! Sitecore Social Connected Deep Dive

Presenter: David Morrison, Sitecore Engage with your visitors socially with Sitecore’s Social Connected Module. In this session, you’ll learn how easy it is to allow your site visitors to authenticate themselves using their credentials from social networks, like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. We’ll show how to post messages from Sitecore directly to social networks and set up automatic posts to a visitor’s wall based on their activities on your site, as well as easily add Like and Tweet buttons to leverage your visitor’s social networks to spread your message.

SESSION 3: Multiple Ways to Multisite Solutions - How to Truly Build a Multisite Solution

Presenter: Tim Ward, Sitecore Sitecore has always been capable of managing multisite solutions, but there has always been management and governance involved. We will take you through a new breakthrough solution that will help you manage multisite solutions in an efficient way that is designed to scale to any number of sites that you need to manage. We will touch on the new Foundry product as well.

SESSION 4: 5 Efficient Ways to Kill your Web site - Do's and Don'ts in Optimizing and Profiling

Presenter: John West, Sitecore After a brief introduction, this session consists of a live, semi-improvised drama between an project manager inexperienced with Sitecore but responsible for implementing the Jetstream demo site using that platform and a seasoned Sitecore partner making suggestions to improve the overall quality of that solution.

SESSION 5: Breaking a Million with a Bucket of Items - How Item Buckets Eliminate Content Limitations

Presenter: Tim Ward, Sitecore In this presentation we take the training wheels off Sitecore and show how you can scale Sitecore sites to enormous amounts of data. We introduce new UI's, new parts of the API and features that will make authors, developers, marketers and administrators life so much easier. SESSION 6: Get Mobile or Get Left Behind- Sitecore's Ultra-Cool Mobile Framework in the Spotlight

Learn how the Sitecore Item WebAPI will help your organization lead the pack by using your existing Sitecore website as the hub for rich mobile applications, as well as HTML5, Javascript, and even desktop applications, all with the same HTTP-based interface. SESSION 7: Let's Get Physical - From Personalized Digital to Personalized Paper

SESSION 8: MVC and 6.6 Killer Features - Learn about Sitecore's Next CMS Release

Presenter: John West, Sitecore This fast-paced session provides brief descriptions and demonstrations of some of the significant new features in Sitecore CMS 6.6 using the new Jetstream demo site, followed by a live, semi-improvised drama involving a Sitecore developer experienced with Web Forms attempting to convince a skeptical project manager to investigate MVC for some aspects of the Jetstream solution.
