An epic event comes to a close...

Sitecore Symposium 2014 Las Vegas has come to a close, and we’d like to thank everyone who attended for making it a tremendous success. Watch the opening and guest keynotes below to relive your experience, or if you weren’t able to attend the conference.

If you attended Symposium, you will have access to conference sessions that will be posted soon.  Please check back for more information on presentation availability.

We look forward to seeing you at the next Symposium!

Michael Seifert, Sitecore’s CEO, illustrates a simple concept in his Sitecore Symposium keynote address – as he focuses on the power of experiences.  Experiences are subjective, personal to the individual; experiences can be good or bad.  A work of art can inspire one person, and leave another cold.  Michael shows how through knowing an individual, you can help shape the experience you deliver.  With mass marketing becoming a distant memory, and traditional digital marketing leaving the consumer dazed and confused, the natural evolution is experience marketing, and increasingly it is the brand experience that will make or break a brand. Michael will track this ‘experience’ evolution and show how Sitecore is helping marketers so they can now own the experience.

Real time marketing

In his keynote, David Meerman Scott asks us to get rid of any corporate pretensions, face our fears and rather than just sell, sell, sell – David outlines why marketers need to start to inform, educate and engage consumers as the way we buy has changed forever.  With great examples, David shows how brands with the best content, presented at the right time within a real-life conversation is winning the business.  Consumers want to see the human side of your organisation, and the consumer’s route to your brand will increasingly come from social, reviews and recommendations, and if you’re not willing or able to ‘talk human’ online, you will quickly be found out and ignored.

  • Sitecore Symposium is for me the event of the year. The place to be for networking and to meet the Sitecore community, but also a place to meet the product team and learn from the best in order to become the best. I would highly recommend you to go. There will be amazing new features presented. You don't want to miss this one! See you in Barcelona!

Robbert Hock, Sitecore MVP, Owner and Sitecore Developer

  • The Sitecore Symposium is one of those events you should attend, if you can! Get insights on the new product features up ahead, and get acquainted with the Sitecore uCommerce combination. And off course listen to business track case studies and discuss them afterward while the sun goes down.

    Jorg Verweij, Chief Executive Officer

  • Sitecore Symposium is the place to be for networking with other Sitecore professionals, getting insights on new and upcoming features, and learning a thing or two. The opportunity to meet the Sitecore crew first hand, together with other developers, results in creative discussions, clever ideas, and solutions to our day-to-day work.

  • At no other event can you meet so many like-minded people all deeply interested in Sitecore. At no other event can you get so much information about upcoming releases and features in the platform. At no other event will you get so much inspiration that will affect your daily work. Everyone working with Sitecore should attend, and so will I.

  • As a developer, it is also an excellent opportunity to find out about new features that are just about to be released by Sitecore. You can also talk directly to the Sitecore developers implementing these features and get a really good insight to the technology. The evenings are also great with people discussing the different projects they are working on and the hurdles that they have overcome.
