Ingeniørernes Arbejdsløshedskasse, IAK, the Unemployment Insurance Fund for Engineers are in the process of building a new website with the assistance of Sitecore Solution Partner Addition.

This is an ambitious project that will benefit from some of the more exciting aspects of the Sitecore CMS. At the database level, IAK will be integrating their existing Oracle environment which is crucial to IAK, since nearly all systems are based on this technology. Thus, Sitecore will provide the engine to show and access data.

"We are in a process developing the next generation of member services on the web. Our aim is to fit the needs of a highly skilled group of members with relevant and easily accessible services and information on our website. Furthermore, a new system for our websites must comply with existing IT structure and business intelligence now and in the future. After monitoring the market we did find that Sitecore could fulfil our requirements" said Teit Molter, Web Content Manager, IAK

Additionally, in order to create a secure Intranet and Extranet environment, the content will be staged across the servers lying inside the firewall and in the DMZ.

"Sitecore is a product with extremely extensive capabilities so it's great to be working on a project that really allows Sitecore to 'flex its muscles'", said Michael Christiansen, Partner, Addition.
