The Sitecore 'client' application is now available in Castilian (Spanish).
Sitecore have experienced a growing interest in Sitecore from Spanish-speaking communities. In addition to this, with the growth of Sitecore in the United States, where 30% of the population are first-language Spanish speakers, more and more demand is for this capability.
"We believe that the editor works best in their native language so we make every effort to accommodate local language requirements", said Henrik Andersen, Partner Manager, Sitecore. "The way Sitecore is constructed allows us to introduce new languages 'on demand' so we are pleased to be able to quickly localise the software.”
Sitecore is now available in English, German, Spanish (Castilian), Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, Greenlandic and Romanian. Sitecore supports the UTF-8 character set standards, including Unicode and the Chinese “Big 5.”
During February 2005 Sitecore will also be introduced in Portuguese.
