The Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University (KVL) in Copenhagen have launched their new main site based on the Sitecore CMS.
Sitecore Solution Partner Netmester assisted KVL in launching the new site and this is the first step in a project that will cover the remaining 17 specialist sites and other language sites that KVL manage in connection to the University.
Authorisation on the site takes advantage of Sitecore's ability to interface with existing sign-on directories, so the contributors, which include students, professors and administrative staff, can enter through their single campus sign-on. This single sign-on is also used for the extranet facility.
About KVL
The Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University (KVL) was founded in 1856. KVL is the only Danish university specialising in the agricultural and veterinarian area and the only place where veterinarians, agronomists, horticulturists and MSc's in forestry and agricultural economists are educated. KVL is also one the few universities in Denmark where MSc's in food science and technology are educated.
KVL cooperates with a number of Danish institutions; government research institutions under the Danish Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries, the Technical University of Denmark, the University of Copenhagen and Rigshospitalet (Copenhagen Research Hospital).
KVL has 3,500 students, of whom 120 are foreigners and 400 are PhD students, attend KVL who employs 1,600 people and has a budget of DKK 960 million including DKK 300 million from external funding.
