The Integrated Media Association

, whose primary mission is to harness the power of the Internet and other new media platforms for the benefit of public broadcasters such as the Public Broadcasting System (PBS) and National Public Radio (NPR), had 13 broadcasting companies in attendance at their recent webinar event, hosted by Sitecore and implementation partner Digitaria.
Sitecore Vice President of Client and Partner Engagement, Jason Crea, spoke about the latest technology and social networking experiences, particularly popular with websites serving large consumer constituents. Jason also described the empowerment of the business users in implementing, updating and controlling their websites by using leading Content Management Systems (CMS) such as Sitecore’s award winning software. The power of simplicity in enabling fresh and varied content, including audio, video, text and podcasting was a central theme, and the underpinning to the momentum in this market’s growth and success.
Digitaria www.digitaria.com, Sitecore’s implementation partner for the extremely popular Atlanta Falcons Football team website www.atlantafalcons.com, presented their experiences implementing the many features that create the rich interactive online experiences with the Falcons’ fan base. This includes early season behind-the-scenes informal video postings, the vibrant user-moderated fan forums, community interest stories, music and podcasts, to high excitement game-day footage. Many different groups with varying interests, access preferences and tastes are served within this overall Atlanta Falcons community website, and the website includes the means to collect feedback and preferences and adjust and enhance the online experience.
