Sitecore CMS 6 Advanced User (Online)

Course Abstract
This course was known in Sitecore CMS 5.3 as the "Administrator" training. The Advanced User is the new course title for Sitecore CMS 6.
This 4 hour online course introduces site administrators and advanced users to Sitecore. The training describes how to use the Sitecore web-based clients to author and publish content, maintain users and access rights, use custom workflows, access log files and other advanced functionality. This course is offered in North America, including USA and Canada. We may be able to accommodate students from other regions.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of Internet Explorer at the user level.
Target Audience
This course is intended for site administrators and advanced users with some previous Sitecore experience. Attendees are not assumed to have programming experience, nor will the training contain any programming related tasks.
Goals
After successfully completing this course, trainees will be able to use the Sitecore CMS 6 clients to perform basic and advanced tasks in the Sitecore clients and will be able to educate untrained colleagues in the use of the Sitecore clients. Students will learn how to:
- Use appropriate Sitecore web-based user interfaces (Preview, Page Editor, Content Editor, and Desktop)
- Manage users and roles and assign access rights to each user
- Use and configure custom workflow solutions that match business needs
- Access Sitecore logs
- Move content from the work-in-progress site to the live site.
