Sitecore Certified Administrator
Prerequisites
Knowledge of Internet Explorer at the user level.
Target Audience
This course is intended for site administrators with little or no previous Sitecore experience. Attendees are not assumed to have programming experience, nor will the training contain any programming related tasks.
Goals
After successfully completing this course, trainees will be able to use the Sitecore V5 clients perform basic and advanced tasks in the Sitecore clients and will be able to educate untrained colleagues in the use of the Sitecore clients. Students will learn how to:
- Use all the Sitecore Clients (Preview, Content Editor, and Web Desktop)
- Manage users and roles and assign access rights to each
- Design and configure custom workflow solutions that match business needs
- Access Sitecore trace and audit logs
- Perform appropriate incident response activities to troubleshoot incidents and report problems
Topics Covered
Trainees will gain an understanding of the following topics.
- Introduction and overview of each of the Sitecore clients
- Editing and Publishing Content
- Multi-lingual Support
- User Administration and Access Rights
- Item Locking and Workflows
- Incident Handling
At the end of the training, all students must pass a certification exam in order to receive a Sitecore V5 Certified Administrator certificate.
