Prerequisites
Attendees are expected to have simple computer skills, including the use Internet Explorer and standard word processing tools such as Microsoft Word.
Target Audience
This course is intended for site authors with no previous Sitecore experience.
Goals
After successfully completing this course, trainees will be able to use the Sitecore V5 clients perform basic and advanced content authoring tasks in Sitecore. Students will learn how to:
- Use appropriate Sitecore web-based user interfaces (Preview, WebEdit, Content Editor, and Desktop)
- Use advanced features in the Sitecore Rich Text Editor
- Navigate through web sites using various tools
- Perform quality assurance tasks such as workflow commands, W3C HTML validation, configuring automated archiving of content, and more.

Trainees will gain an understanding of the following topics.
- Introduction and overview of each of the Sitecore web-based user interfaces
- Editing and Publishing Content
- Manually translating multi-lingual content
- Workflows and other quality control features
- Standard Sitecore web desktop applications
