The Sitecore judges considered creativity in the use of Sitecore’s capabilities to deliver outstanding and transformative business results, integration with applications, multichannel engagement and overall site visitor experience. This year’s we have some exceptional winners.
Lenovo was the Overall Winner for Site of the Year Asia. The overall goal and purpose of the website was to increase customer self-service capability as Lenovo expands into the PC+ market, including mobile phones and tablets. The first release of the site operates internationally in the 51 countries where Lenovo mobile phones and tablets are sold.

Jin Corporation won Best Japanese Site for Site of the Year Asia. The overall goal and purpose of the website was to give non-member users an understanding of hair removal salon service details. Moreover to enhance loyalty by offering member services to member users who have already visited the salon. MUSEE PLATINUM has 157 locations (as of September 2013), 14 locations overseas, and 1,560,000 members. The web site receives over 100,000 PV/day. Sitecore partner, Nextscape, and Sitecore have achieved the objectives of the project given and received following feedback from MUSEE PLATINUM: "We are now able to perform content revision, updating, and other tasks internally, which has dramatically reduced the operational workload. By looking at the customer’s behavior, we are also able to provide information tailored to the salon reservation members, enabling to offer improved and more relevant services when they are browsing in the member site."
This year’s Best Business and Professional Services Site Award went to Japan Business Systems, Inc in Japan. Their first goal of the website was to acquire inquiries from anticipated/potential customers. The second goal was to appeal to business partners with JBS solutions and boost the sense of existence of JBS. All information from customers and business partners, generated through both online and offline touch points is to be stored in CRM and unitarily managed, so that the best course of action for each customer can be chosen. This way, JBS has been successful in constructing the best optimized customer journey.Working in such a way, integration of Sitecore and Dynamics CRM provides excellent customer experience both online and offline, contributing to boost of Engagement.
This year’s Best Systems Integration Site Award went to Dongfeng Motor Co.,Ltd - Dongfeng Nissan Passenger Vehicle Company in China. The overall goal and purpose of the website was to improve the user experience, update the content timely and get the more business leads from website.
This year’s Best Manufacturing, Automotive and Technology Site Award went to Brother Sales, Ltd in Japan. The overall goal of the website is to increase registered users of the portal site and keep them as fans of Brother. In the past, Brother has published their portal site, Brother My Portal, for many years but it has eventually hit the limitations which required the flexibility to integrate with other database systems and the site became somewhat a legacy platform. One of the Brother’s expectation was that their next customer portal should be a comprehensive digital marketing platform, which can fuel their business growth as well as increase the number of registered users. The new customer portal was named Brother Online. The renewed portal site, Brother Online not only provides user registration but it also provides product purchase registration site as well as timely campaign promotion which will meet their initial goal.
This year’s Best Education, Media and Advertising Site Award went to Star Publications in Malaysia. The overall goal and purpose of the website was to deploy a dynamic web site with features like: targeted marketing, content personalization, responsive design, easy and fast deployment of micro-sites, automated workflow for publishing content from Prestige to online, remote access by Editors, multiple channel delivery support, reduce development effort for developers, editors are empowered to manage content dynamically, platform can scale easily to cater for growth in content as well as traffic and integration to digital assets for easy retrieval and management. Star Publication is the #1 English Daily in Malaysia, their Monthly Website Page views is 38,535,449.
This year’s Best Government and Public Sector Site Award went to IDA Singapore in Singapore. The website is the precise embodiment of what the IDA itself stands for. Its role is to uphold, champion and act as an exemplar of standards and communication in info- communication technology to world audience, representing Singapore as an intelligent nation and a global city powered by info-communication technology.
This year’s Best customer/user experience Site Award went to IE Singapore in Singapore. The IE Singapore website aims to educate, inform and inspire Singaporean companies to expand and trade overseas. It also helps Singapore companies grow into Globally Competitive Companies (GCCs) with greater global presence. The purpose of the website is to attract global regional companies to conduct their trading and corporate functions out of Singapore and create opportunities for organizations to complement each other, giving rise to mutually beneficial partnerships with Singapore Companies.
