Lars co-founded Sitecore in 2001 as a natural outgrowth of his company’s transformation from consultancy work to original software development.

Prior to joining Sitecore, Lars worked for a leading Danish systems integrator. Here, as Senior Architect, and later at Sitecore he helped create more than 50 high-profile web sites.

In his role as Senior Vice President, Lars has ensured Sitecore’s position as a market and technology leader, both strategically and tactically. He works closely with Sitecore’s executive team, providing technical direction so Sitecore continues to deliver the strong framework for online experiences for which it has become famous.

Lars Nielsen studied Computer Science and Economics from the University of Copenhagen.
