13 MVPs recognized for outstanding participation in technical communities and sharing expertise in Sitecore
San Francisco, January 6, 2009 – Sitecore, the leading provider of .NET Web Content Management System (CMS) software, today announced the Sitecore MVP Program. This program recognizes exceptional technical community leaders who foster free and objective exchange of knowledge by actively sharing their real-world expertise with technology users. For 2008, thirteen outstanding individuals from around the world were selected to be members of the program and honored with a Sitecore Most Valuable (MVP) Award.
This year thirteen exemplary individuals from various organizations worldwide were selected as Sitecore MVPs for their contributions to the Sitecore community. They include: Alistair Deneys of Next Digital Group Pty, Ltd.; Christopher Wojciech of netzkern GmbH; Julius Ganns of netzkern GmbH; Justin Sjouw of Caesar Groep; Klaus Petersen of Alpha Solutions A/S; Mark van Aalst of Evident Interactive; Mark Cassidy of CorePoint IT Ltd; Thomas Eldblom of Pentia A/S; Eric Briand of Ergonet; Andy Uzick of FMC Technologies, Inc.; Glen McInnis of Non-linear Creations; Alexander Pfandt of Digitaria Interactive, Inc.; and Ben Golden of Aware Web Solutions.
“I’m honored to have been chosen to be among this select few of highly accomplished MVPs,” said Klaus Petersen, founder of Alpha Solutions. “Sitecore offers top-quality and advanced solutions that truly serve the needs of their customers for websites that deliver rich and compelling user experiences. Its innovative technology, my relationship with the company and the people behind it inspired me to share my insights and expertise on Sitecore with as many Sitecore partners and customers as possible.”
The program offers their members a number of benefits. MVPs are granted access to technical resources such as alpha versions of Sitecore software, first release modules and full access to the Sitecore Developer Network and download section, and invitations to major events.
Individuals were nominated by Sitecore employees from around the world, and nominees were reviewed by a board of Sitecore executives from the technical marketing, documentation and traditional marketing departments. The Sitecore judges evaluated bylined articles; nominee blog or websites regarding daily challenges of development and information architecture; attendance and influence at events and training sessions; depth and frequency of quality posts in the Sitecore Developer’s Forum; and overall technical advocacy.
“Our Sitecore MVP Program acknowledges individuals that have gone above and beyond to participate and help others in the Sitecore communities,” said Lars Fløe Nielsen, VP, Technical Marketing of Sitecore Corporation. “It celebrates the most active individuals who offer invaluable online and offline expertise that enriches the community experience and makes a difference. We have an excellent group of MVPs this year and we look forward to seeing how they can further advance our users.”
