An epic event comes to a close...

Experiences

Michael Seifert, Sitecore’s CEO, illustrates a simple concept in his Sitecore Symposium keynote address – as he focuses on the power of experiences.  Experiences are subjective, personal to the individual; experiences can be good or bad.  A work of art can inspire one person, and leave another cold.  Michael shows how through knowing an individual, you can help shape the experience you deliver.  With mass marketing becoming a distant memory, and traditional digital marketing leaving the consumer dazed and confused, the natural evolution is experience marketing, and increasingly it is the brand experience that will make or break a brand. Michael will track this ‘experience’ evolution and show how Sitecore is helping marketers so they can now own the experience.


Real time marketing

In his keynote, David Meerman Scott asks us to get rid of any corporate pretensions, face our fears and rather than just sell, sell, sell – David outlines why marketers need to start to inform, educate and engage consumers as the way we buy has changed forever.  With great examples, David shows how brands with the best content, presented at the right time within a real-life conversation is winning the business.  Consumers want to see the human side of your organisation, and the consumer’s route to your brand will increasingly come from social, reviews and recommendations, and if you’re not willing or able to ‘talk human’ online, you will quickly be found out and ignored.

  • As a developer, it is also an excellent opportunity to find out about new features that are just about to be released by Sitecore. You can also talk directly to the Sitecore developers implementing these features and get a really good insight to the technology. The evenings are also great with people discussing the different projects they are working on and the hurdles that they have overcome.
